Hints and tips on applying
Here are a few tips and reminders to ensure you get the most from your application form:
Do
- be honest
- tailor your CV and covering letter to the role you are applying for
- review the vacancy notice to see what is required and tailor your application accordingly
- allow yourself plenty of time to complete the form
- explain gaps in your employment history, such as time out travelling
- tell us about any major achievements or successes you have had
- ensure you’ve completed all the necessary sections before you submit your application
- spell check your document
- check your contact details are correct and up to date
- be truthful about your driving license; we’ll need to see both parts in your assessment and will contact the DVLA for a licence check before you start work for us
Don’t
- rush your application; it’s the first impression we’ll have of you
- lie on your application form; our interview process is thorough
- exaggerate; we will ask to see your exam certificates.
