Career progression is at the heart of our working culture. Naturally, we recruit from within whenever it’s possible. But we’re also keen to offer secondments to other areas of the business. And we’ve created a range of development schemes for those with the drive and desire to progress. As a result, you could find yourself on a secondment within our Performance Development team. Or you could spend 12 months working in our Brand & Trade Marketing department. Or perhaps you’ll be on our 'Preparing for Leadership' programme. It's up to you and your ambition.
Preparing for Leadership
We designed our Preparing for Leadership programme for non-management employees who have the desire and potential to take on a management position. It’s a great way to develop those high performers who can drive our business forward – and it keeps leadership talent flowing continually coming through the business. This modular programme happens over 12 months and covers business awareness, leadership skills and career planning.
International Career Management
Our International Career Management programme identifies and develops those employees who have the ability to become internationally mobile managers. If you’re nominated to take this course, and you succeed the application process – you’ll get to experience our global business and receive special development and training. Succeed, and you can expect your first international role within 12 months of completing the programme. Currently, one of our Sales Development Executives has been placed in Sydney, Australia.

You don’t have to travel across the world to develop. It’s good to know that our Learning and Development department offers a full programme of learning events throughout the year. They’re open to all our employees and encompass everything from influencing and assertiveness and presentation skills to conducting successful appraisals. Additionally, we offer support and development for new managers and senior managers.
