Whether you’re a manager, salesperson or head office professional, we want to see you make the most of your talent. So from day one, you’ll find we offer extensive training and development. Field Sales Training

During your first six months, you’ll embark on a program that will give you a clear understanding of our business. This begins with a 6 week course, supported with field based and residential learning. An experienced mentor will support you, and an Area Manager and team of Field Trainers will be on hand to offer advice, guidance and support.

After this, you’ll take responsibility for a sales territory. Over time, we’ll assess your performance and help strengthen your skills. Then we’ll give you the extra skills you need to manage and develop your area independently. This training will suit your individual needs and may happen in the classroom, at workshops or in the field.

Management Training

For managers and budding managers alike, we’ve a dedicated team of Leadership & Development professionals who’ll take responsibility for nurturing your talent. Our business recruits, rewards and develops against a Global Competency Framework and to support this, we’ve put in place courses and self help guides.

We also offer the Imperial Leadership Programme (aimed at senior talented individuals), the Imperial Management Development Programme (aimed at mid career talented individuals) and the International Career Management programme which is aimed at internationally mobile, early career talented individuals. These programmes are benchmarked externally and designed to allow people every opportunity to develop.

Training for everyone

It’s the aim of our small, dedicated team of Learning and Development professionals to support our business and develop everyone within it. Through them, we can help you to develop skills in everything from commercial awareness and appraisal management to delivering effective presentations. We also offer individual coaching and mentoring programmes.

We’ve a “Preparing for Leadership” programme for ambitious, early career individuals, and an Accelerated Pool System, which aims to ensure high potential individuals have personalised development plans in place. All this reflects our belief in continuous professional development – and you’ll find we’re always striving to improve our performance by improving our skills.
