At the age of eighteen after completing my A Levels I joined the family business running a convenience store in Camden, North West London. Having worked in retail for over seventeen years and working many unsociable hours, I felt that I needed a change of career to enable me to spend more quality time with my wife and two children, I therefore decided to apply to Imperial for a Trainee Representative position.
I am calling on approximately 280 independent retail outlets on my territory, my role involves building sound customer relationships with independent retailers in order to further the awareness, distribution and display of the Imperial Tobacco portfolio of brands. I am set yearly cascade targets to achieve and maintain, and also specific distribution drives on key tactical brands throughout the year.
I believe that having the self confidence and awareness to build trust and relationships through excellent communication skills, as well as having good organisational skills are vital in my day to day role.
For me its all about achieving and exceeding business goals by being allowed to manage my own territory in a manner that suits my working style. I really enjoy what I do.
If you want to work for a blue chip company that provides fantastic training and support with the opportunity to progress within the organisation I would say apply now, I've not looked back since I joined.
