"I manage a team of Area Sales Managers and am responsible for planning, directing and controlling the overall activities of the field sales teams. Effectively, I lead the field sales management team to operate in a way that maximises retail opportunities in selling distribution and in-store visibility. My team are based across the Midlands and North area, so I tend to travel across the country to spend time out in the field.

Prior to this I worked as a HoReCa Manager managing three teams who work within the licensed trade and outdoor events area. Here I led the strategy for this business channel and set the objectives needed to deliver it. This channel allows us an opportunity to market our products in a very stylised arena where we can bring our brands to life.

I came here as a rep from Coca-Cola 11 years ago. The main reason for my change was the difference in sophistication. Imperial Reps had a lot more responsibility for the areas that they managed. Plus the package was much better! So far I have worked as a rep in Norfolk, an executive in West Africa, a market manager in Nigeria, an area sales manager in Northern Ireland, and a travel retail manager in Western Europe. If you're willing to travel and relocate, the opportunities are plentiful."
